LD Lines au Havre

Les transformations se poursuivent pour la filiale commune de la compagnie danoise DFDS Seaways et la filiale LD Lines du français Louis Dreyfus Armateur (LDA). Cette filiale prend le nom de DFDS France, et garde un fonctionnement proche de celui connu à l'époque de LD Lines.Jean-Claude Charlo, précédemment directeur d'exploitation chez LD Lines deviendra directeur général de l'activité française de DFDS, qui concerne les lignes Dunkerque/Douvres, Calais/Douvres, Dieppe/Newhaven, Le Havre/Portsmouth et Marseille/Tunis (uniquement adressée au transport de fret, peut-être provisoirement).

Le premier changement notable sera l'arrivée d'ici quelques jours de l'ex-Norman Spirit à Calais après un arrêt technique à Gdansk (Pologne) et un passage en cale sèche pour la peinture d'une toute nouvelle livrée.

The first significant change is the arrival in the next few days of the ex-Norman Spirit in Calais after a technical stop in Gdansk (Poland) and a drydock to paint a brand new livery.

Mis à part les changements de noms dans la flotte, peu de choses devraient évoluer dans les prochaines semaines. On notera cependant une volonté d'expansion de la compagnie nouvellement formée, vers de nouvelles lignes.

Côte d'Albâtre à Newhaven

Le Côte d’Albâtre pressenti pour remplacer le Norman Voyager entre Le Havre et Portsmouth assure actuellement les traversées entre Dieppe et Newhaven en remplacement de son sistership, le Seven Sisters, en arrêt. L'affrètement du Norman Voyager court jusqu'en début 2014, date à laquelle son propriétaire Stena Line devrait en reprendre possession (qui l'avait acquit en avril auprès de la banque allemande HSH). Le choix du remplaçant se porterait alors sur un ferry qui sera plus adapté au transport de passagers avec un plus grand nombre d'installations.

The Côte d'Albâtre tipped to replace the Norman Voyager between Le Havre and Portsmouth is currently crossing between Newhaven and Dieppe in replacement of her sistership, the Seven Sisters, off. The charter of the Norman Voyager runs until early 2014, when her owner Stena Line should repossess (Stena was acquired her in April from the German bank HSH). The choice to replace the ferry would then be more a more suitable for transporting passengers with a greater number of installations vessel.

Enfin, le Norman Asturias et la ligne Saint-Nazaire/Gijon ne sont pas concernés par ces changements: la compagnie reste dans ce cas précis la LD Lines.
